You may have sampled The Vurger Co‘s vegan burger creations at their pop ups in East London or other events. What you may not know is that in July 2017 they launched a crowd funding campaign to finance the next stage in their journey: to open a permanent restaurant in London.
In their campaign, they were asking for £180,000 but in fact raised an incredible £300,000 in 2 days!
Their highlights for their campaign were:
- 2018 projections: Net Sales c.£1.3m; EBITDA c.£300k
- 1,148 Burgers sold in May 2017 in 35.5 trading hours
- The Vurger Co has 10,000+ social media followers

The Vurger Co Burgers
The Vurger Co’s plant -based burgers include “The Classic” made with smoky black beans, peppers and corn topped with tomato, red onion and homemade Vurger sauce, “The Mexican” featuring a spiced jalapeno and pepper bean patty topped with hot salsa, chilli mayo and smashed avocado, and “The Auburger” made with a chipotle smoky aubergine, red onion and chickpea patty topped with cumin mayo and pickled cabbage.
The Vurger Co Restaurant
The new restaurant is planned for early 2018, and is targetting the mainstream market by re-imagining fast food completely with natural plant-based food.
