Hetu is a zero-waste vegan shop selling unrefined vegan foods (such as grains, nuts, herbs, and spices) from bulk bins (made from glass and metal, instead of plastic), a wooden grinder to make fresh nut butters, a selection of second-hand plants repotted in recycled jars and cans, and palm oil-free deodorants and soaps. Vx, also known as Vegan Cross, is a vegan shop, cafe and takeaway located near Kings Cross station in London. One of the first vegan one-stop shops in London, it opened its doors in February 2010. The shop sells vegan shoes and clothing (by The Secret Society Of Vegans), books, badges and stickers, and a selection of vegan groceries but its main focus is on take-away vegan junk food including sandwiches, hot dogs, burger and cakes, and a wide range of vegan groceries, faux meats and sweet treats.
