10 Cable Street was founded by Moko Sellers in 2017, here is what she has to say about the venue:
10 Cable St is a multifunctional event space which focuses on healthy body and healthy living. A former pub, known as The Horns and Horseshoe, this was the first public house in London to ban segregation, welcoming customers from all ethnic minorities in 1949. It has been lovingly restored, keeping many of the original features while creating a light, bright, airy and tranquil space in the heart of London.
We provide a tranquil space in the heart of London which hosts a wide range of workshops, classes, dinners and events based around the themes of food, design and wellbeing.
Healthy body, healthy planet.
At 10 Cable St, we think that it’s important to consider the wider impact of the things we do on a daily basis. From the food we eat, to the things that we buy and the products we use, minimising the impact on our bodies and the planet is always at the forefront of our minds. We work closely with our partners, who share this vision, to provide a series of events which promote both a healthy and an environmentally sustainable lifestyle…but are, above all, fun!
Where food comes from is important to us. We aim to use only natural, plant-based ingredients in the dishes that we serve and, where we can, we source locally and use organic products. This way, we know where our food has come from and that the impact of getting it from ground to plate has been minimal.
